We currently have a vacancy for experienced Arborists / Climbers.  We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our council contract London teams. The successful candidate must be able to always display professional and friendly attitude and be a team player.

Ideally you should hold a full UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • All aspects of general arborist works
  • Liaising with tree officers / general public/ customers
  • Liaising with the KPS workshop regarding equipment / vehicle maintenance
  • Keeping your vehicle and all tools clean and well maintained
  • Wearing KPS PPE at all times whilst working/on site and in the yard
  • To work as part of a team, ensure good team spirit with an enthusiastic approach.

Required Skills:

  • At least 3 years’ experience climbing
  • Ability to identify Risks and Hazards
  • NPTC Certificates – Ideally CS30, CS31, CS36, CS38, CS39

We are looking to recruit experienced Fencers and Landscapers. We work with both commercial and residential customers.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individuals to join our business who have previous experience in fencing and or landscaping. The successful candidate must be able to always display professional and friendly attitude and be a team player.

You must hold a full UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Turfing/planting/general maintenance/mulching/tree planting
  • Setting out fence lines, digging holes, cat scanning for services, erection of fencing
  • Working from architects drawings
  • Transporting of materials and accepting deliveries and dealing with queries
  • Working with site manager/general public/customers
  • Working to deadlines and managing time effectively
  • Liaising with the KPS office staff for purchase order numbers and site information
  • Checking equipment/products daily
  • Liaising with the workshop regarding equipment maintenance
  • Keeping your vehicle and all tools clean and well maintained
  • Wearing PPE at all times whilst working and in the yard

Required Skills:

  • Horticultural qualification preferred, but not essential
  • Training on all relevant equipment /environmental issues
  • CSCS Card desirable

We are looking for recruit Newly Qualified Arborists and anyone who is looking to become an Arborist.

  • Level 2 Eight Week Intensive Tree Surgery (must be over 19 years old)

KPS will provide full PPE and Arborist kit.

 

Salary: £15,600 -19,500, depending on experience and qualifications already earned

KPS is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic HGV Technician and Plant Fitter to join our company. The successful candidate should have excellent knowledge of Mechanical Engineering. In addition, ideal candidates should have good social skills and be a team player.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all day-to-day operations in the workshop, ensuring repairs and maintenance works are carried out to the highest standards whilst meeting legislative requirements of the operations.
  • Repair and maintain HGVs and Plants as directed either on or off site.
  • Assist the safe, efficient, and effective operation of all vehicles.
  • Undertake training to standards agreed by management.
  • To comply with the company safety regulations, policies and safe working practices.
  • Communicate effectively with staff/management daily.

 Required Skills:

  • You will have previous experience working as HGV Mechanic / Plant Fitter.
  • Welding experience
  • Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
  • Punctual, hard-working, ‘can do’ attitude.

Health & Safety

  • Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and report any malpractice.
  • Report all accidents, incidents and near misses.

You will also have a full, clean driving licence.

NVQ Level 2 or NVQ level 3 in HGV and Plant maintenance essential.

About KPS

‘KPS’ comprises two companies: KPS Contractors Ltd who work in the area of landscaping and tree surgery, and KPS Composting Services Ltd who take green waste and convert it to compost and bark chippings as well as producing Biofuel. We work across London and the Southeast but you will be working primarily for KPS Composting Services Ltd in Scaynes Hill, near Haywards Heath in West Sussex.
